After weeks of cool, wet weather we were lucky to have a warm day with no rain for our Group outing to the Scout Water Activities centre Sydney Harbour, or SWASH for short. The day was split into three activity sessions - one for power boats, one for sailing and one for canoeing. The power boats were 4.7m black Zodiacs and they zoomed around the harbour, taking us under the Harbour Bridge and into Farm Cove. The wave jumping bounced some of us into the harbour! The sailing was more sedate and we could sit back and enjoy the gentle breeze as we rounded Cockatoo Island. In the canoes we paddled up the Lane Cove River to the Northumberland Street baths where we jumped off the wharf. Thanks to all the families that joined in to make a great day out.
