Australia web site.
Uniforms are available from Snowgum
and from their web site you can check pricing, shop online or find store locations.
Our Group's Uniform Policy
General
- By not mandating any uniform requirements specific to our Group,
we fully support one of the major objectives of the national uniform policy which was to reduce the cost of the uniform.
Most of our youth members can now be uniformed for under $40.
- New members who join our Group after July 2004 will wear the new uniform. Existing
Group members who have the old uniform may continue to wear it until the five
year transition period ends in June 2009 or until you grow out of it, which
ever comes first.
- It is common to see our Group members out of uniform during some of our
adventurous Scouting activities because our Group recognises that some of our activities risk damage to the uniform.
Hat
- All our Group members must wear a hat for sun protection during any daytime outdoor activity.
- A hat is not required for indoor or night time activities.
- You may wear any hat that you have. Snowgum sells a
popular peaked baseball style cap with a Scout logo and this is the
recommended standard for our Group.

Shirt
- All our Group members will wear the standard national uniform shirt.
- The polo style shirt is the recommended standard for our youth members.
- The button-up style shirt is the recommended standard for our adult members.
